In November 2022, Lidl received planning permission to bring a new supermarket to Grove Road, serving Grove and Wantage. Lidl has now submitted a new planning application, to make minor amendments to their approved store.
Whilst much of the development remains the same, Lidl proposes to slightly increase the store size by 4 sqm with the overall development not taking up any more of the land than before. The layout has been reconfigured to provide a much improved customer experience with wider aisles, better circulation space and more checkouts by increasing the internal sales area.
